Tiger Mom: Verdict is In

by Larry Tate on March 18, 2011

In case our readers haven’t yet discovered it, the incomparable Matt Taibbi has created what he calls The Supreme Court of Assholedom: a court whose sole purpose is determining whether particular individuals inhabiting our culture are assholes or not. There are nine justices, including two of this website’s favorite people: David Sirota and David Reese.

This week the court examined the case of Amy Chua, the achievement-obsessed Yale-professor “Tiger Mom,” whose recent book on parenting Taibbi describes as “a little bit like what would have resulted if Stalin had collaborated to write a parenting guide with Hannibal Lecter.”

The whole ruling is worth a read.
