Glenn Beck on Obama’s lightning-quick response to the crisis in Haiti:
BECK: I also believe this is dividing the nation . . . to where the nation sees him react so rapidly on Haiti and yet he couldn’t react rapidly on Afghanistan. He couldn’t react rapidly on Ft. Hood. He couldn’t react rapidly on our own airplanes with an underwear bomber . . . it doesn’t make sense. [...] Three different events and Haiti is the only one. I think personally that it deepens he divide to see him react this rapidly to Haiti.
This is the dumbest thing I’ve heard this week. Were there any people trapped under tons of rubble and without food or water in Afghanistan or on the plane carrying the underwear bomber?
Reading between the lines, I’d say that Beck’s response is ultimately attributable to his view that Obama “hates white people.” Whenever white people die or are in danger, Obama takes his sweet time. But if black people are in trouble, SWOOOSH!
