It is Obama’s fault that someone tried to blow up a plane on Christmas, the holiest day for our Christian nation.
It’s true that Republicans voted against funding for the Transportation Security Administration that included “$1.1 billion in funding for explosives detection systems . . . and $778 million for buying and installing the systems.” But we have a large deficit and the government should trust that the market will take care of all these things.
And, while it is true that the al Qaeda leaders who supposedly planned the Christmas attack were released by the Bush administration into an “art therapy” program, they were no doubt fully cured of their evil ways during their lengthy stay at Guantanamo Bay. It was only after they were released that they were re-radicalized by other Muslim extremists who encouraged them to take vengeance on our nation.*
And although there is no current administrator of the TSA because Jim DeMint (R-SC) has a hold on Obama’s nominee, the institution should be able to function properly without any leadership until DeMint’s demand that the TSA not allow unions is met.
The truth of the matter is that Obama was playing golf in Hawaii when he should have been in Amsterdam scrutinizing all the Northwest passengers’ underwear.
Should’ve voted for McCain, America. Not only has he ridden on planes . . . he’s piloted four that blew up. That’s executive experience.
* Update: It seems that the original news story was incorrect. Only one of the released individuals was involved in planning the Christmas-day bombing.
