-A new Rasmussen Poll suggests that support for heath care reform without a public option is rather low.

-No one disputes that South African Caster Semenya won the women’s 800 meter world championship, but some question whether or not she’s a woman.

-Matthew Yglesias (and David Sirota) discuss interesting themes in the new film District 9.  The film is worth seeing, and it is also very upsetting.

-Former Homeland Security director Tom Ridge says that members of the Bush administration tried to manipulate terrorist threat levels for – hold on to your hat – political advantage.
